Miami International Airport (MIA)
Car Parking
(Miami, Florida - FL, USA)
Those intending to park at Miami International Airport (MIA) will find that there are really four main options offered. These are both short-term and long-term car parking, together with a valet service and also an economy park and ride area, situated off the NW 45th Avenue (next to 13th Street and 14th Street).
Passengers will find that although there is certainly plenty of choice, the MIA tariffs do generally reflect the convenience and proximity to Miami Airport itself.
The short-stay area and valet service are understandably the most expensive, while the economy lot is the most competitively priced, since it is furthest from the concourses and gates. Of note, advance reservations are not required.
Short-Term
The short-term car parking area at Miami International Airport (MIA) is situated close to the main terminal building and these areas are known as 'Upper and Lower Level Park One'. Parking fees are charged per 30 minutes, per hour (up to three hours) and per day. The short-term zone is a good place for quick drop-offs.
Long-Term
Long-term car parking is on hand at two multistory garages, which are situated close to Miami Airport. Known as the Dolphin Garage and the Flamingo Garage, these areas are connected to the terminal building by moving walkways. Parking fees in the multistory areas are charged per hour (up to five hours) and per day.
Economy
The MIA economy park and ride service is particularly affordable, being charged at both an hourly and daily basis. However, there is a maximum stay time of 24 hours. Courtesy shuttles are on hand to transport passengers and visitors alike, running every 15 minutes between the hours of 05:00 to midnight, and every 25 minutes from midnight until 05:00.
